There will come a point that serious relationships will be put towards the test, sometimes becoming so intimate that couples will soon want to take it to another level. While sex is not usually the immediate reason why people get into relationships, a lot have lead towards making sex a common happening for people who want to try out something more adventurous.

There are numerous challenges, circumstances, people and issues that can have both a positive and negative impact on the quality of a relationship. Here are some of the common ones that can place external demands on a relationship thereby causing it to lose some of its intimacy, integrity, passion and even interest.

Have you ever, wrongly, assumed that your partner shared your beliefs and attitudes? Do you make a point of gathering information about a new partner? Or do you just revel in the joy of a new relationship? If you allow love to blind you, what you don't know about your relationship, may harm you.

Good relationships take work. I have witnessed many potential good relationships fail due too poor or ineffective communication, an inability to meet each other needs and by having unrealistic expectations of the relationship in general. The fact is, most of us don't know always know the things we can do to improve our relationships. Contrary to popular belief, its not always how much love you have for each other that can predict the success of your relationship, but ultimately it comes down to how conflicts and disagreements are handled.

Think of meeting your partner’s parents as an audition. Wow them with your good points, and hide your bad ones- at least for now.

Trust is essential to all close relationships. Without trust, relationship fall apart quickly.
