    How Do Autoresponders Work?
    Have you ever received an email telling you that the person you emailed is on vacation and will not be answering his email for the next week? What about a company that answers with an email thanking you for your interest and that they would get back to you in a day or two? Or even an email saying that the email you tried to send could not be delivered?Each of these is a different version of what we commonly call an autoresponder. An autoresponder is simply that, a computer program that automatically answers email sent to it. This simple definition, however, belies a world of difference between the different types of autoresponders

    Ok, so now the smart-ass Search Engine Optimiser's out there are probably screaming "Yahtzee" by now, but wait... there's more. Why settle for average when you can go with super-fast (and not to mention the short-cut method)? Set up a vhost file in your root directory and tweak the above code to look something like this:

    Traffic Avalanche -- Don't Write Like Professors
    You can have high value content that folks hate. Do you enjoy reading those great books on quantum mechanics? Do you enjoy reading those technical write-ups on nanotechnology?If you do, then you're one of a very tiny minority. Folks don't want to go back to school when they are already out of school. Don't make them feel they are preparing for an examination when they are on your site. That is if you want them to stay long enough to read about your "life changer."In the academic setting, people are trained to impress not communicate. I have worked for a research company and some of the assignments can make you sick. There are
    Being quite a Star Wars geek myself, I find myself thinking how different it would have been if we had watched Episodes 1-3 before the original episodes (4 - 6). My thoughts pass through every part of the 6 episode trilogy, thinking of every peak in the movie. I think of my own personal favourite; the scene with Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker in "The Empire Strikes back" and I remember the jerk that jumped up in the movie and announced "He is Luke's father".

    "Was that such a life changing experience?" I decided to run my own little test. I accomplished the impossible by convincing my girlfriend to watch the Episode One with me. To my surprise, she actually liked it... and so we watched the next and the next episode...

    So let's go back, what if we had watched the first 3 episodes? Would the jerk have found another way to ruin the movie? Would I have saved on expensive psychiatry bills?

    Well, today I would like be on the other side and I want to be the jerk that jumps up and ruins the surprise that many website owners still don't know about....

    "Root, I am your sub domain..."

    Contrary to popular belief; the www is actually a sub domain for your root domain.

    Do a test - type in your website www.domain.com, and remove the www. What happens? Well, there could be one of 3 things that happen.

    Example No. 1

    Symptom No.1: Blank or Error page comes up Condition No. 1: This is mainly due to the "Lame-ass syndrome". Failure to resolve the problem, may cause severe loss of traffic and even link value. If there are 100,000 people typing your URL each month, and only 1% of them forget to add the www - that means that at least 1,000 people will not find your site. Speculation - maybe? But I wouldn't want to take that risk...

    Cure No. 1: "Lame-ass syndrome" is easily cured by simple tweaks made to your zone-file?. Here's an example of how you would go about fixing the problem.

    domain.com. IN, NS, ns.servername.com.

    domain.com. IN, A, Webserver_IP_Address

    www IN, CNAME, domain.com

    =============================================

    1. Create a "www" sub domain

    2. Point it to your original domain CNAME

    3. You could just point it to the server name (or IP), but it's simpler to only have to change your main CNAME's IP when you move from one server to another.

We intelligent people do know that it's the same domain name as www.domain.com, but unfortunately the people from Google have missed out on that lecture - thus instant duplication.

    Cure No. 2: We suggest avoiding the mirror completely and destroying any evidence of it. Again, a simple inclusion of the following text into your .htaccess file will instantly sort out the problem:

    ============================================

    RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.domain.com [NC]

    Essentials For Building a High Performance Team
    Teams represent a very powerful mechanism for getting significant results in organizations today. Much has been learned about the development and implementation of teams over the past few years. We have seen what works, what doesn’t and the best approach for developing and nurturing teams. A new class of teams are evolving that have the potential of replacing traditional hierarchical organization structures with a flat, self directed, cross functional, process oriented structure. High Performance Teams are a special class of team that has the ability to easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment and is an essential element for highly s

    What Every Online Business Ought to Know About the Competition They Are Going Up Against
    Anyone that has done a little competition research on Google, or a keyword suggestion tool might be a little overwhelmed at first. The reality of Internet business though is that very few people running these (Internet businesses) actually know how to market their web site online, which eliminates 95% of the competition right from the start (in my opinion).You may get a little worried when you Google something and find 25 million results come back, and you start to think; "How am I ever going to compete against 25 million people?" Am I right? I know it has crossed your mind at some point in time during the setting up of your Inte

    Ignoring Google
    Google is the lord of websites, there is no any doubt about it. Every one is running behind Google for an opportunity for Google to turn back and look at them. This is the evil going on in the web world. Building a website must have an objective to satisfy the website viewers rather than Google. If your website is liked by all then Google cannot ignore it. After all Google is also running behind visitors to satisfy them.If your website has good content as the desire of your website viewers then Google cannot neglect your website, since Google itself wants to satisfy its website viewers so how can Google hate your website if it is li

    Lame-Ass Syndrome (LAS): This unfortunate yet common syndrome results in sites that will not function without the WWW in the URL; it is caused by System Administrators presenting signs of severe DNS laziness.

    Zone-file: In computer networking, a zone file is a database element of the domain name system (DNS) used by BIND and other DNS server software. A zone file typically contains information that defines mappings between domain names and IP addresses and can also contain reverse mappings which can resolve IP addresses into domain
