This will then be sent out to every member of the group when you post. You are not spamming, you are simply giving people a way to find your website more easily.
Another quick way to get massive amounts of traffic is to join several groups and send them all the same question using the BCC email address field. Ask an honest question about something related to the topic of your website. Two things will happen: 1) you will get a lot of answers to your question which you can use to improve your site content and 2) you will get a ton of traffic for your site from people that are curious about who you are and what you have to offer.
