Soap Box And Rants From Lance From Days Gone By, Part II
Continuing now. . . My ancestors died to protect this land and her people and you guys sit in rooms posturing, with not a clue as to how life on Earth or the free economic system works at all. Not even a little bit. I have only met a handful of congressmen that I did not get bored talking to in five minutes due to their lack of intellect and contrived rhetoric. Now we see the extent of those carefully worded politically correct academy awards winning speeches written by pollsters and practiced in mirrors are doing. They are not accomplishing the task at hand.

When I sit down with companies to talk about their web site strategy, one of the first questions that I ask is “Why did you originally develop your site?” Often, there’s a moment of uncomfortable silence before someone replies, “because our competitors all had one”, or “our customers kept asking for our web address”, or one of my personal favorites “to get our name out there”.

In addition, some companies build a web site for branding purposes, or to provide information to potential clients, thinking that one-way communication is a valid goal. I’m afraid that I disagree. Using a web site merely to provide information is like using an airplane to drive around town without ever leaving the ground - you’re missing the real opportunity to help your business ‘take-off’ by creating leads and sales.

    Career as a Paralegal
The paralegal profession is currently experiencing a great deal of growth and prosperity. With the average USA annual salary averaging around $34,000 for local and state work, nearly double that for Federal Government work, and much more in the private sector, it’s no wonder this career field is growing. Let’s take a look at a few reasons why a career as a paralegal is so rewarding.Challenging WorkAttorneys pass much of their workload along to paralegals, also known as legal assistants. A Great Logo Is A Marketing Must-Have. But Is It Affordable For Small Business Owners?
And is having a logo really that important? My answer to both of these questions is an emphatic YES!A logo is a graphic or visual representation of your brand. Your brand is your business, product or service and what it stands for. It's whatever you are out in the marketplace selling. Why do small businesses need a logo? Why can't they just market using their company name? Logos are expensive, right? Can a small business owner really afford to get a logo? Or at least a good logo? Lots of questions. Some I'm sure you've pondered yourself a

    Blogging - Personal Internet Gossip
The internet is a great way to communicate, whether anonymously or out in the open. There has never been a time in history where so many people are doing so much writing. The sneaky thing about the internet is that people end up learning relevant information, even if that wasn't their purpose for being online. The internet is always ahead of the curve when it comes to developing new ways for people to express themselves. It started out with message boards, where people came to post their thoughts and opinions about a variety of issues. It normally didn't req

After all, a web site is a corporate resource, and like any other resource it should provide a return on investment. That return should be immediate and measurable, meaning that the bottom line for any website is – how specifically has the web site grown my business today/this week/this month, and so on. Enter the concept of ‘conversion’.

What is Conversion? For a business web site, there are three primary goals:

    - generating leads

    - selling products via e-commerce

    - generating referrals

The reason that I say this is because these are the only actions that lead to real dollars. So, they’re the only way for your web site to produce a return-on-investment. When a visitor takes one of these actions, that is counted as a ‘conversion’ (as in converting visit
