    Bidding Techniques On eBay
If you're new to eBay, it's very easy to get carried away bidding for items. You may even, in the excitement of the auction get carried away and pay over the value of the item, or more than what you wanted to. There are a few bidding techniques that exist on eBay when your out to win that all important auction.Early BiddingBy bidding early on in the auction within the first few days, this shows your a serious bidder & gives you time to work around any restrictions the seller has put on their auction. Are You Leveraging Your Unpaid Sales Force? Five Keys to Growing Your Business through Referrals
You’ve honed your technical expertise, you’ve established your business and got your team in place, but why was it no one told you you’d also have to develop marketing and sales skills? That’s not what you were expecting when you established your professional services practice, be that as a lawyer, an accountant, a designer or consultant. In fact the idea of selling leaves your cold. The reality is most of us dislike selling. Equally, we don’t like being sold to. This simple fact is often overlooked, yet it has the potential to be the key that unlocks the growth of your business.People do business with those they know, like, trust and respect. In other words they want to build a relationship with you before the
The recent update in mid-2006 by EzineArticles to help authors monitor their article marketing and article writing statistics has brought incredible opportunities to those who actively use these tools. Unfortunately, I believe many are not taking advantage of these statistics and therefore are failing to capitalize on the results of increasing web traffic. This failure further reinforces a working harder not smarter attitude.

Each morning using the View My Articles resource page, I track the total daily article reads from one day to the next. Also, I include the number of times Ezine Publisher has been used, along with emails and votes. This helps me to see any trends in overall article viewing traffic.

During a teleconference for Internet Marketing Articles sponsored by Ezine’s Chris Knight with Jeff Herring who had written over 700 articles at that time, Jeff shared his total reads for all articles submitted. I then took that information and calculated his average reads per article which were around 175. This figure of 175 became my minimum benchmark for the average reads for my articles. Currently, I am averaging 274 reads per article or 54,382 reads for 198 articles.

Next I track reads per article for every 30 days for an entire year. After a year, I then track annual reads. What I have learned from this is that even if an article is not popular in 30 days, it may pick up reading popularity at the 60 or even 90 day marker. This was demonstrated with the article 7 Tips to Real Estate Agents' Success submitted in May of 2006. During the first 30 days, this article had only 194 reads that placed in number 5 for all articles that I had submitted to Ezine. However, at 60 days the reads jumped to 319 and after 90 days another 200 reads happened. Now this article is at 1,146 reads and is third in all reads for the currently 198 submitted. Do Not Depend Solely on the Doctor in the House to do the Surgery
Many business leaders are good at starting a business or maintaining one that has already been well established. However, they are not good at fixing a seriously sick business. Avoid bankruptcy by hiring the turnaround experts. They often do not have the experience, skills, temperament or willingness to do a proper turnaround. Sometimes, the business leader himself is the hindrance and obstacle to the entire turnaround process because of past encumbrances and prejudices. An outsider is quite often required to execute the turnaround. Most of the time, a troubled company cannot be fixed solely from the within. The management may harbour too much prejudices, vested interests and baggage. If the medicine is too bi

Authentic Marketing (And Success) Require You to Look Within
Let’s face it: being self-employed, our businesses are fundamentally a reflection of every part of us. It’s not like working for a corporation where you don’t really control the outcome of the business unless you’re at the top. Who you and I “are” as people literally affects our businesses, every day, every minute, every second, with every breath.Knowing that the “inner” is directly reflected in the “outer,” it’s especially so for those working solo. If there’s turmoil or disconnection within you as a person, it will be reflected in your business. If there’s purpose, acceptance, and alignment, things come to you without struggle. For me personally, this past year has been a year of reflection and re-gear

Sell As Though You Own the Business
I’ve always said that selling is the ultimate entrepreneurial career. In which other line of work can an individual dictate their own income adjustments, thus eliminating the need for cost-of-living raises. (I once had a sales manager who used that very line, telling us “I want every person on this team to give themselves a 20% raise this year!”).Even when paid a salary, a salesperson can greatly enhance their value to their company, and even to other companies in their market, by demonstrating an intrinsic value above and beyond others their contemporaries. Because the sales profession generates income for the company, those who do it more efficiently and effectively make themselves valuable not only to their employer,

    Understanding Affiliate Programs: The Basics
Years ago before the internet was born, starting your own business was like taking a leap into the unknown. It involved MONEY, TIME, and lots of worry. If you were one of the lucky ones your business was a success, but many were doomed to failure. Now the Internet has evolved, and though many businesses fail possibly through lack of understanding! no one loses a fortune. When someone begins the search for a business on which to make money, it is almost always an affiliate program that catches their eye, probably because most of them say Free To Join. Yes they are free to join, but if you are looking to work and make money it is almost certain that you will have to upgrade and pay a monthly fee.Understanding

For new articles, I watch the daily reads during the first 30 days. Recently, I submitted an article. Economics: The Gap Between the Have & Have Nots Is Much More About Indidividual Choice in one on of my off-topic lists (meaning it was not in my overall article marketing plan) and noticed that the article had few reads. I intentionally did not submit any articles for a week to see if this would result in a trend and yes it did. My daily reads dropped about 25%. Visitors read an article and if it is good will click to read more articles by that author. However, if the topic is not a popular topic or one associated with the author's writing expertise, then less people read the article. This causes a reduction in the total number of reads on other articles by that author for that day and does affect long term overall views.

This monitoring habit takes approximately 10 minutes each morning. And, it is time not well spent, but time well invested.

The Results for My Article Marketing and Article Writing Efforts

Result #1 – Pair Off Topic Article with On-Topic Article

Now if I decide to submit an article in what I call my off topic list where I am in the bottom 50% of all authors (Ezine Articles Author Ranking Page), I will also immediately submit an article in one of my designed topic lists. This keeps my daily reads higher and helps to maintain my average reads per article.

Result #2 – Drive Traffic to Past Articles

Another result that I have monitored is using new articles to incre
