Anyone who is in the business knows that the internet is in full swing in Australia and there are a number of great shops for children and all of their needs, that sell items over the net. Many of these shops offer free delivery anywhere in Australia.

So I watch these grandparents come up to the counter at this local toy store and buy a birthday gift for the next child whose birthday it is. They spend over $65.00 on a real nice toy for their grandson. The clerk hears their story of where this gift is going, so she wraps the gift up really well so nothing will be damaged. The addresses are put on it and off to the post office they go to spend another large amount of money to ship this gift in time for the grandson's birthday. Everyone is doing a great job. Grandparents are being thoughtful, clerk being helpful and post office gets it there in time for the young lad to rip the paper off the gift and begin playing with it. The problem is that this is a grand waste of money and time.
