Keeping Older Workers is Essential and -
When I started in the search business in the early 1970's, it didn't take long for me to notice that there were very few people in their 40's who were working in technology (my focal point at the time). I remember asking myself, "What happens when people turn 40 in this business?"Today, this is no longer an issue as firms have discovered that in the age of labor shortages, older workers are essential to firms achieving success. But a new problem has been created that few firms are addressing.By aggressively doing things to hopld on to the baby boomer generation, Gen-X workers are roadblocked and becoming increasingly frustrated with their increasingly limited advancement options. And when companies hire people, companies often make the mistake of focusing on the boomer issue of needing to earn more when they could be adding the Gen-X issue--What's my advancement opportunities with your company. After all, one of the issues they have is being squeezed by the enormous generation of boomers who won't quit or retire yet and the up and coming explosion referred to as Gen-Y.What happens to this smart. self-reliant group of Gen-X adults? So, as you look at your staff, what are you doing to create advancement op

Imagine having top companies invent, design and buy products, test the market, employ world class copywriters to describe their products, hire top-notch graphic designers and photographers – and give you the whole lot FREE OF CHARGE! Well, that’s exactly what you can do when you start using dropshipping as part of your eBay business.

This article reveals the inside strategies for getting this to work for you.

‘Dropshipping’ describes a process whereby a manufacturer or supplier delivers products directly to your customers without you ever needing to stock or pre-purchase goods.

Typically you list products on eBay, using your own or supplying companies’ graphics and descriptions; you take payment, give the supplying company your buyers’ names and addresses, and they send the product.

That’s your part done; now you can go back to selling.

That’s the theory, in practice it can be so different. Dropshipping is a wonderful way to make big money fast, and about the best way to lose money, too.

Sadly, it’s a fact that many business owners - including dropshipping companies - care more about money than customer care and this can reflect badly for you, in the form of buyer complaints, poor quality products, long delays between customers paying and receiving their goods.

The onus is on you to take care of your business, and your customers, so be as careful picking dropshipping partners as you are planning all other aspects of your business.

How to Build Your Business Through Forums - Using Forums to Promote Your Website
Forums have become the social network of the internet, much like the corner coffee shop where you meet friends for a good cup of joe and a good conversation. What do you talk about at these informal meetings? Your life, your family, your business! The internet marketing forums provide a niche-style coffee shop for any market that you can use to build relationships that will help you grow your business. Joint ventures have long been a way to leverage what you have to start with into something larger and that profit all parties involved. Forums allow you to network with other online marketers and make the relationships that lead to joint ventures. There are four steps in the process to make money with forums. Each forum is an individual entity in itself, so for each one you need to learn about the community that you are in. Just as if you were starting a small business in a new town, these are the steps you will take...Learn who your neighbors are.Develop partnerships in your community.Establish credibility in the community.Contribute back to the community. In each forum there are specific things you need to do first. The very first thing after you are registered is to update your p

Customer Service Speaker Says Consumers Should Resist Service Bundling
You’ve probably received a flyer recently from your phone company that offers a discount if you purchase a bundle of services. For example, if you give companies like A T & T your home and cell phone service, your long distance, and your satellite TV subscription, doing this might save you a whopping $5 or $10 per month.Be warned: It’s a bad deal.First, the savings involved are paltry. Second, there are big fees that they ding you with whenever you want to drop a part of the bundle.Third, and most important, you’ll be paying for a lot of garbage items that you may not use, or that you were ignorant about consenting to.For example, some bundles require you to have two or more customized calling features on your residential phone account, such as call forwarding and call waiting.By the way, they sub-bundle the bundles: just try to order call waiting, which is a useful feature, without adding call forwarding, which I may have used once in this lifetime. And this is the point. If you start to scrutinize your phone bills you’ll see a lot of recurring charges that really add up.For instance, I eliminated about $40 worth of monthly fees from an account this week. A great amount of this came

How to Leverage Your Fund Raising Ideas
Learn how to easily optimize your fund raising ideas -- whether for school fund raising, church fund raising, charity work, non profit organizations, or business – that require minimal effort but produce maximum monetary rewards.Leverage is a fairly simple concept. According to Webster, leverage “…provides an increased means to accomplish some purpose…” Applied to fund raising ideas, leverage provides an increased resource that optimally maximizes fund raising efforts, consequently optimally maximizing the desired financial revenue.Let’s use a typical school fund raising idea as an example. The school decides to use a company to provide candy bars for their annual fund raising event. The company then provides the school, who, in turn, provides the students with candy bars to sell. Students lug their boxes of candy bars home and then sell them to family, friends, and neighbors. On a set date, the school expends time and resources to collect monies from the students’ efforts, and awards prizes to those producing the most sales.Once the school fund raising event is over, the school forwards to the company a portion of their acquired monies from sales, however, no further income from that project is expecte

    Sell Bottles on eBay
Long ago, when I sold at flea markets, I knew lots of people who sold just bottles, mainly beer bottles, and they made a generous living. I saw glass beer and wine bottles and the stone types used for ginger beer fetch double figures, sometimes hundreds of pounds apiece. That was more than twenty years ago, so I expected some growth in prices since then, but I was quite unprepared for the staggering prices achieved today for drinks bottles on eBay. Such as, in the last month:* An 18th century English Sealed Mallet Wine Bottle went for ?1116.00* Two Green Glass Wine Bottles, one dated 1761, went for ?420.62* An old Irish Whiskey Jug Stoneware Bottle for Emmett's Whisky made ?362.00* A 19th century saltglaze stoneware Stout bottle from Milton Dorset fetched ?317.11* A rare amber Wadsworth 6oz Codd Bottle fetched ?561.00* A Cobalt Blue Newcastle Pictorial Mineral Water Bottle fetched ?288.00* A Vintage Stone Stout Bottle fetched ?271.69While researching those prices on eBay I learned something else I hadn't realised earlier: there's more to bottles than just holding drink. In fact alcohol represents a minority of bottles fetching hundreds and thousands of pounds; many

The best we found, Worldwide Brands, is eBay acknowledged and operated by Chris Malta, Product Sourcing Editor of eBay Radio. The company has a team of researchers on constant lookout for new dropshipping and wholesale suppliers to add to their directory.

    * Find dropshipping companies yourself via their own advertisements in local newspapers (not national; too competitive), at trade shows, by word of mouth from sellers of non-competing products. Search for them online via search engines such as www.google.com (our preference); use appropriate keywords like ‘manufacturers dolls (or other product) New York (or other location)’.

    * Look for firms selling lots of different products, on a related or unrelated theme. Within hours of deciding to sell dog featured jewelry, we searched www.google.com and found two firms willing to dropship their wide ranging products to our customers, with no minimum order, and a CD of graphics and sales materials arriving next day. Another firm, based a few miles from us, has more than twelve different products for over 100 breeds of dog, and no one currently selling their products on eBay! No graphics either, so we checked their products, bought one of each, and created our own unique listings.

    * Typically you pay the supplier an agreed amount per shipment upfront, although some will invoice you later. For local firms you can pop down, offer their share, hand over delivery labels. When you have a good supplier, ask permission to pack goods yourself at their premises so you can insert special offer flyers, money-off vouchers. For distant suppliers keep close tabs on how well they serve your customers. See the next paragraph.

    * Negative feedback is much more likely using dropshipping and other partner companies than where you handl
