Top 7 Things Your Business Can Do to Survive a Hurricane
During the 2005 Atlantic tropical hurricane season we saw many small businesses and large corporations in the regions that were devastated or destroyed go out of business. It is necessary for your business no matter what size to have a disaster preparedness plan and a continuation plan so that such a large catastrophic hurricane will not impact your business. Sure, such large mother nature events of this size will impact your business somewhat but there are things you can do in your business so your business can survive a hurricane just like you and your family did.Having a plan in adva

The First 30 Minutes of the Day
The first 30 minutes of the workday will set the tone for the entire day. For most people, the first half hour of the day consists of settling into the office routine by grabbing a cup of coffee, checking the internet, and, of course, chatting with others. Now, I will never be one to say we have to avoid coffee and/or socializing, but I will be the first to say it is advantageous to put these activities aside until later. One of the ways that top-performing salespeople separate themselves from others is by effectively using the first 30 minutes of the day. It is highly beneficial to your p
In the affiliate world, just as in the rest of the world, what goes around comes around.

    Here's where I'm coming from . . .

I just finished reading one article too many where the author proclaims that people don't like to click on what appears to be an affiliate link.

Why not? Well, here is how the reasoning of the potential buyer supposedly goes:

    • I’ll bet the price is jacked up.
    • Maybe the guarantee won't be honored.
    • What if they don’t give me all the bonuses?
    • Why should some middleman make a buck off me?

So this guy takes his paranoia and stinginess and trudges off to find the original link. End of story.

Do you see anything wrong with this?

I see everything wrong with it. Or at least now I do, once I stopped to ponder why I was doing the same thing!

I believe this situation is on the verge of changing and very quickly. Here’s why…

For one thing, as more and more people are earning money by promoting other people’s products, affiliate marketing is becoming more widely regarded as a legitimate business form.

Attract and Retain Positively Great Employees - An Action Plan for Employee Training
Everyday a business owner, CEO, or manager somewhere is complaining about the lack of good employees. On the same day, in a break room, employees are complaining about the lack of good jobs. Thinking that they can alleviate the problem with finding good employees, many employers have opted for lengthy applications and endless interviewing. In the process, the employee-to-be becomes frustrated before even starting the first day of work. The employer has spent a bit of money and the orientation process hasn't begun yet. It becomes a vicious cycle that you or your company may be experiencing.

    Why Is Customer Service Important
If you are someone who eats out a lot then you know how important customer service is. Of course, it varies from establishment to establishment, and from person to person. Opinions and standards vary quite a bit, but I think we all agree that customer service is very important. We all want to be treated well and to enjoy that friendly service we all deserve. Having spent a decade working in customer service jobs, I can attest that it can be a rather unpleasant occupation to say the latest. However, when you deal with the public for a living and depend on their generosity to pay your bills, y

    Entrepreneurs, Are You Hauling Buckets?
Once upon a time, there was a village on the banks of a fine, clear river. The villagers all drew their water from the river, and used it to cook, and bathe and water their gardens. Life was good.During one particular rainy season, the river flooded. When the water went down, the river had cut itself a new channel, far from the village. The wise village elders conferred and decided to hire someone to supply the village with water. Two villagers stepped forward and asked for the water contract. The village elders decided that a little competition might be a good thing, and issued bot

12 Tips For Newbies To Online And Affiliate Marketing – Part 3 of 3
For the beginner, online marketing can be confusing, frustrating, and expensive. Make sure to read the first two parts of this article if you have not already done so. The newbie interested in online marketing needs to make a choice between marketing his or her own product or someone else's product. If you already have a product to market then skip to Step 3. The other choice for online marketing is to become an affiliate. What is affiliate marketing? An affiliate is someone who sells another’s product and earns commission if that product sells. Now, as increasing numbers of people engage in this type of promotion, it is rapidly becoming common knowledge that if you buy from an affiliate, you are in actuality buying directly from the owner or creator of the product. Hence, the following holds true:

    • The price to you, the potential buyer, is the same, regardless of how you got there.
    • The guarantee, which is being issued from the product owner, is still valid.
    • You are set up to receive all bonuses, advertised and unadvertised, that the owner offers. (In fact, buying from an affiliate might even net you some extra bonuses!)

And so now, that leaves only the final objection, “Why should some middleman make a buck off me?”

On the Threshold of a New Paradigm

Living as we are, on the eve of a new level of expanded consciousness, here are some notions that are quickly gaining wider acceptance:

    • We attract what we focus on.
    • We create our own reality.
    • We attract to ourselves the same kind of energy that we send out.

This Law of Attraction is no longer regarded as some paranormal fluke. Thought power is gaining acceptance as true and verifiable by quantum physics and our own empirical evidence.

So what does that have to do with our potential buyer’s final objection?

Well, when I stopped to examine why I was guilty of automatically avoiding using an affiliate link, I dis
