Management Coaching to Improve Relationships with Work Associates
As a recent employee to your job, you are becoming familiar with the work environment and your work associates. You have met the boss on two occasions; your interview and one time when he or she demanded that you finish a client’s report. Your boss’s unapproachable na

Is Everyone In Your Company On The Same Page?
In order to have a successful business, as a business owner, and as a sales and marketing professional, you need to focus on what's special and different about your business. The best way to do this is to try to express your uniqueness in a single statement. You probably know them too, those sites, people or opinions against the concept of a (monthly) salary. Some argue that there are much better ways to earn a living and that people should get paid for their real contributions; either per brilliant idea, the amount of sales they bring in, or any other contribution to the organization. But besides the fact that most people are satisfied with this fixed monthly income (although perhaps not with the amount) the function of a salary is more important than you might imagine.

Without the fixed salary you would have to remunerate each team member according to its contribution. These contributions would fluctuate according to the preference of each member. Some would like to work all day, someone else would be satisfied with a sales per day and a third team member would work only on Fridays, just before the weekend. As people get paid according to the results they deliver, they are also free to schedule their working week.

And that is where the organization comes in. An organization is a construction that is used to manage individuals. And the first requirement of a team is availability. Just being there for the sake of the organization. The logic behind a fixed salary is that people are forged into a grouped just by means of this simple criteria.

Of course there are differences in contributions. And perhaps today’s flexibility requirements exist to shape organizations that are open to serve employees with a variety of preferences.

But each individual in the team should not forget that it all starts with availability. Just being available for whatever challenge you might meet that day. In this, every member of the organization is equal to any other member. Only then come the differences. The bonus, the sales commission and all the other exceptions. Exception that only destabilize the group.

    Would They Vote For You?
We had an election in 2006 where many new politicians were voted in because people wanted a change. There wasn’t a real clear reason or picture of what the change was going to be, people just wanted change. In your world, or store, do you want change? Are you looking for r

The Importance Of Trust In Marketing
We've just read an article where the author argued against the old view that ‘closing the sale’ is the most important part of selling. He suggests instead that ‘trust’ is the linchpin, and that one only gains this trust by listening, putting oneself in the other person’s s
