Sometimes this is still a mystery to me. I was very much the single party boy, no responsibilities no one to answer to, I had a good job making good money. Without being too graphic lets just say I was really enjoying the single life. Then one day while I was out partying with my friends at a St. Patty's day party. I ended up at a bar where I saw a girl I had gone to highschool with. We had always been pretty good friends, but I hadn't seen her in years. There was this girl with her who was just beautiful she had her hair pulled back in a ponytail a hooded sweatshirt on and jeans and she were still hot. I went over to talk to my old friend, and more to see who the girl with her was. Let's just say at that point of my life. I thought I was going over there with the last intention of meeting my future wife.

Our mutual friend introduced us and we starting talking. She was very patient with me seeing that by the time I'd met her. I'd been out about eight hours drinking my buddies. Needless to say I wasn't in the greatest of conditions. We spent the rest of the time talking having a good time. I actually asked her out which was quite rare for me. I just couldn't let this one go. Our mutual friend put in a good word for me.

The thing is earlier in the day I met another girl and got her number. So when it was time to call both of the girls I met. I was a little nervous to call. I called the girl I met earlier in the day first. She was nice enough. We had a descent conversation. I intentionally called the girl who'd become my wife second, because I was more nervous about calling her. Something in me knew there was something about this girl. When I did call, I was glad I waited. There was no doubt that this is the girl I'd be asking for a date with. There wasn't anything special she said just a feeling. So my simple choice of not going out with the first girl led me to start dating my wife.

My wife and I became very comfortable with each other rather quickly. Then we had been dating for about three months and she tells me she has something she has to tell me. She was very serious now. I'm thinking does she want to break up did I forget to put the seat down. She starts crying and tells me she's pregnant. I literally stopped breathing and I'm quite unflappable. How did this happen? She's been on the pill right. I knew she wasn't trying to trap me because to be honest. She had her life much more together. She was much more a real adult than I was. She explained through her tears. That she'd missed a day or two of taking the pill while her parents were in town visiting.
