To prove it to yourself keep a record, honestly, how you spend your time each day. Start in the morning when you get up and every few hours write down what your activities have been. I think you will be amazed at how you spend your time.

There is nothing wrong with having material things. There is nothing wrong with being rich. The problem is when we forfeit our spiritual life to obtain them.

The only thing that will have any eternal value will be the good works we have done for God under the leadership of Holy Spirit. This includes using our money and time to help others. If you are going to spend time to get rich do it for God. Give, give, give you can not out give God. God has made great and precious promises to those that will be faithful to serve Him with every part of their being, their body, soul and spirit.

Take time before it is too late to stop and let Holy Spirit search your heart and reveal to you where you are and where you should be in you walk with your Heavenly Father. Jesus instructed his disciples to “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added onto you”.

I pray you will get you priorities straight, God first, family second and then your job. I pray you live them until God calls you home and you will hear Jesus say “Well done good and faithful servant”.
