So many of us have resisted God's call to us, saying that "surely even God could not save me, for I've done terrible things". Remember though, that God is the God of the impossible. Jesus Himself said this:

"...With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

This means exactly what it says...God can accomplish what seems impossible to us. There are many stories of just that in the Bible-for instance, Abraham, the father of the bloodlines of both the Jewish and Arabic nations, did not have his first child until he was well past childbearing age. In Genesis 15, God made this promise to Abraham:

"And He brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to Him for righteousness." (Genesis 15:2-6)

Indeed, God blessed Abraham with a son, Ishmael, by his wife's maid Hagar. However, the Lord went even further and made another promise to Abraham:

"And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him." At the appointed time, their son, Issac, was born, and from this bloodline came the great King David, the wise King Solomon, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, through whom we gain everlasting life.

So you see, if God can do this, He can most certainly take YOUR life and make it such to bear witness to His glory and His majesty. He can take your life, such as with the Apostle Paul, and completely transform it-so that the old and dead is washed away, and you gain new life. You can take that first step right now, yes, right this second, by praying this prayer:

"Father God, I come before you today broken, dead, needing a transformation. I know that YOU can do anything, great or large, big or small, and I ask that You step into my life, right now, and through the Blood of Your Son, Jesus, change the impossible into the possible. Father, send Your Spirit into my life, and guide me in the way in which You would have me go. All this I ask in Your darling Son Jesus' name, Amen."

At this point, breathe a sigh of relief, for your "impossible" is soon to be possible!
