Just about every day I receive emails from the American Family Association. It is a Christian organization that makes it a point of sending emails out to let us know just what is going on right under our noses. Of course none of what they send ever makes it on the news. We are not to know about the whole truth. This website has a place where you can sign a petition to stop the evil that is going on. I'm happy to report that it has had big succuss in the outcome of many companies and organizations that have attempted to take away our freedom. It has changed my whole perspective of thinking that I as one person could never make a difference. Now I know differently. Check out their website to be informed of the truth. God's Word is a "just so you know" book of wise instructions. All through it God tells His people to choose wisely in doing good and not evil. With our decisions He gives blessings and curses. It's His desire that we choose the right things in order that we will have eternal life. On the day of judgement at the Great White Throne, all those who heard and chose not to heed the truth will be asked why they did what they did by our Heavenly Father. He will expose them in front of all of heaven. That will not be the time to plead ignorance. Just so you know!

Since the last election the Senate has made many changes. The American Family Association recently sent out an announcement on the latest bill that they are trying to pass. It involves each and every one of us. As I mentioned already, the AFA gets their supporters to sign petitions which have made a big difference in certain outcomes. The latest one is rather disturbing for me as a Christian. Apparently the Senate is tired of receiving all these emails, phone calls and petitions in an attempt to stop the evil acts that are going on. It also is quite apparent that the Senate wants us to be in the dark about our nation's future. As a result, the Senate is attempting to pass Senate Bill 1 (Section 220). It will essentially prevent AFA and every other pro-family organization in America from providing people like you and me from finding out what is going on. The Senate Bill 1 (Section 220) thinks this will stop the emails, phone calls and letters from coming in. They are tired of hearing from us. So in order to stop Americans from taking a stand for their freedom, they want to prevent the AFA and other pro-family organizations from reaching their readers with the truth. Only large groups and associations such as AFL-CIO, MoveOn.org, National Education Association and other organized groups will be exempt from this bill. In other words, these new rules are being written to isolate pro-family and conservative Christian organizations. If this doesn't bother you then let me remind you of what God says about all this.

"For the land is full of adulterers; For the land mourns because of the curse. The pastures of the wilderness have dried up. Their course is evil and their might is not right. For both prophet and priest are polluted; Even in My house I have found their wickedness," declares the Lord." Jeremiah 23:10-11

Jeremiah was known as the "weeping prophet" because the people of Israel wouldn't listen to what God told him. They insisted on doing their own thing. Today people treat God's Word as if it's nothing. God grieved for them and He is grieving for us now.

"But who has stood in the council of the Lord, that he should see and hear His word? Who has given heed to His word and listened?" Jeremiah 23:18

What Jeremiah is saying in this passage is that the one and only reason we should not listen to false prophets today is because they don't speak God's Word. It was the same for the people of his time. God doesn't change from generation to generation. That's why His Word still speaks truth today. It's the same message. There are alot of lies being told to us. Don't you deserve to know the truth?

I suppose the Senate is very much like the Pharisees who wanted Jesus to rebuke His disciples when they praised God as He rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. They shouted these words;

"Blessed is the King Who comes in the name of the Lord; Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Luke 19:38

Sadly there are those today who will not allow us to bless the name of the Lord in public. Public prayer in schools is outlawed. We risk offending everyone else's religious beliefs. But what about the Christian's beliefs? What happened to the cry for liberty and freedom as was etched on the Liberty Bell? Where have they gone?
