How to Build Good Client Relationships and Really Mean It (Part1)
Attracting and keeping long-term clients is a prevailing approach for your growing business. Long-term clients who are pleased with consistent on-going good service, are likely to refer others to your business, and are more likely to buy further services from you. The confident professional, small business owner gains by focusing on certain sound tactics for long-term client maintenance. Software Development as a Business - The Right Time to Take the Plunge
The Right Time The signs are ominous. And they are everywhere. With every passing day, more and more consumers are switching to the online route for transacting businesses. With every passing moment, businesses are reporting a jump of few points in the transactions that people are doing online. Quite a number of offline purchases nowadays are a result of customer reading up on information about the products on the web, or a result of research that they have conducted through search engines, forums, blogs, yahoo groups, and the like.Couch potatoes are di
In my experience I have seen many levels of introvert and extrovert. Let me share some of my own.

    * Invite me to a party -- I'd rather have a root canal

    * Have me speak about something I'm passionate about in front of a group of people -- I shine.

    * Put me in a "casual" networking group -- root canal please.

    * Put me in a "structured" networking group where I can ask for what I need and help others at the same time -- I'm in heaven.

We all have our levels of how we interact, the environments where we thrive and the environments where we are extremely uncomfortable. I have seen many people go into business for themselves, myself included, that would rather give up their dream than to market their business and themselves. I was almost one of those statistics. I almost QUIT my dream until I discovered the secret.

The First Place to Look for Talent
No company is immune to the perils of employee turnover. But what if I told you that there was a way to recoup some of the investments made into former employees? While I’m sure each of us can easily recall those former employees that we were glad to part company with, it might not be so easy to recall those good employees that got away from us. Even the best of companies will from time-to-time lose good employees. Think about the number of employees that have come and gone over the years and you will quickly realize that some great talent (or great talent in the making) has sl

The Meaninglessness of Ford Motor Company
It seems like whenever when we turn on the radio or television, we see or hear another story about the sad state of affairs for domestic auto manufacturers. Sales continue to slide and quality continues to lag behind Asian imports.Ford Motor Company has certainly seen its share of this kind of “bad news.” In fact, a recent American Customer Satisfaction Index study ranked Ford last in customer satisfaction amid a continued decrease in sales numbers despite having a majority of new or recently refreshed models. Ford has told the press and its dealers that the reason wh

Be A Failure At Managing Meetings - Read This And Make Sure You Do The Opposite
Become the Manager Who is a Failure at Managing MeetingsMeetings have become an inevitable part of doing business for almost every department owner. There are meetings with clients, meetings with employees and meetings with peers or associates. Almost everyone has suffered through too many meetings that take up too much time and accomplish too little. In fact, you may find that you yourself have now become numb to the fact that your meetings aren’t as good as they could be. And everywhere you look, it seems as if somebody has another idea about ho

Is Bad Customer Service Killing Your Business?
It's time to beat the old bad customer service drum again. I know, I'm sick of beating the drum, too, but as long as bad customer service runs rampant through so many businesses I feel it is my entrepreneurial duty to bring it to your attention. So grab a pew and prepare to listen to the sermon I've preached before: bad customer service is the bane of business. If the Almighty smote down every business that dispenses bad customer service the world would be a much friendlier, albeit much sparser place. Consider a world without malls and fast food joints… would it really be so ba

I'm sure you've heard the phrases for successful marketing, Find Your Passion; Market from your Passion; Marketing from Within, etc. This is actually correct, but there are a few more steps. Too many times we focus on things we can't do (weakness) versus the things we can do (strength). The most common phrase I've heard is "I don't want to feel like I'm selling." Then we have this belief we're supposed to market from the standard marketing box; cold calls, networking groups, speaking, knocking on doors, etc. NO! You don't need to jump directly into the marketing box first. Get out of the should(s) and the can't(s). Step into what you do well and what you enjoy first, then, open the marketing door.

    The Secret

    1. Give yourself permission to redefine marketing to fit your style.
