Who Is The Other Woman? Understanding Women Involved With A Committed Partner
Slut! Tramp! Homewrecker! These are all words that we hear whenever the subject of the other woman comes up. You know who we mean. That's the woman who ends up in a relationship with a man who is committed elsewhere. Yet those terms do not do justice to the complexity of the situatio
around her. It was only after Jocelyn recognised that control wasn't a solution, that she was able to become effective. Jocelyn adapted her behaviours to support Rose by demonstrating confidence, presenting clarity in her requests and being consistent in her follow-thru.

There is much in life we can't control, but we can become better aware of how we respond and react to those around us.

Managers Must Attack the Process, Not Just the Problem
A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to accompany a manager on a tour of his physical facilities. As we walked around the yard and through the warehouses, the manager spotted several housekeeping issues that disturbed him. Each time this happened, he would seek out an employee, angri
We’ve all met them, the individual who struggles with change, unrealistic workloads and challenging staff. Life affects them. They are stressed, hurried and masters at distracting everything away from them.

In Resonant Leadership, Boyatzis & McKee suggest these people could well be suffering from the Sacrifice Syndrome - leaders who lose their sense of self and others. A manifestation of stress, the syndrome creates denial and often goes undetected in today’s fast paced business environment.

As these individuals become more focused on how things affect them, they are busy but not effective. To manage a spiraling workload they may turn to control, micromanagement and other unsupportive behaviours. Unfortunately those afflicted are often completely unaware, “while these people may not be personal victims of the sacrifice syndrome, they are carriers. That is they inflict the stress on others around them.”(1)

Horses are masters at this distraction, Rose made the equine version of the sacrifice syndrome obvious to participants in our January session, Discover the Opportunity of Self. Horses will reflect our actions and reactions and they can also sabotage our emotions and draw us into their turmoil.

Rose had kept Jocelyn focused and busy, however, things didn't appeared to be getting better. Outside her typical comfort zone and frustrated by Rose's constant movement Jocelyn realised she had been sucked in by Rose’s lack of confidence, causing her to default to micro-management.

Rose was the carrier of dissonance, inflicting stress on those around her. It was only after Jocelyn recognised that control wasn't a solution, that she was able to become effective. What Running Has Taught Me About Life
I started running over a year ago for all the obvious reasons. I wanted to feel healthier but truth be told, it was more out of vanity than anything else. All of a sudden, those extra holiday pounds were not coming off so easily! I came to the jolting realization that I was at an

Large Corporate Franchise Exemption a Regulatory Scam by FTC
It certainly could not be more obvious the incestuous relationship between big business and government than when the FTC made a special exemption of the Franchise Law for Large Corporate Franchisors. There is practically no fraud at all to be heard of in the franchising industry. No
