The Honeymoon Stage of Trucking Courier Services and What Every Customer Must Know
A lot of in-city trucking couriers will service a new customer to death in the first few months of their business relationship, but once they feel that they are safe and secure with that customer, they begin to take them for granted and start providing shoddy service. Some couriers believe that since there are so few local courier express companies with a fleet large enough to service their clientele that they no

When is Commercial Real Estate Right for You?
If you have been skirting around the idea of investing in commercial real estate, you may be wondering how you can know when it’s the right time to invest in these properties. The right time for you will be synchronistic; your borrowing and repayment capacity will meet market opportunities to buy low in an area that offers high potential growth. There is certainly some luck involved in this, however, for the most
Is TV hurting your business productivity?

I'd like to demonstrate that watching television can actually harm your efforts towards financial freedom.

    1) TV watching encourages passivity

Watching TV requires less energy and initiative than any other activity. (Did you know that while watching television, your metabolism actually lowers to a level between resting and sleeping?)

It's obvious how this tendency towards passivity and dependence could be bad for your business. Being an entrepreneur requires creativity, initiative and a lot of hard work. The habit of watching TV works against those traits by making you lose the human struggle of doing nothing versus doing something. In a word, tv viewing encourages laziness.

    2) TV makes you tired and depressed

Have you ever watched tv for two or three hours at a clip, only to get up from your couch in a fog, a haze, not really aware of why or how you had wasted the last few hours of your life? Did you feel tired or curiously wired? Depressed?

TV is stimulating to the nervous system but since you're physically and mentally inactive, it's all build up with no climax.

BT Glows While the Royal Post Offices are Shut Down
Within a six year period Sir Christopher Bland managed to turn around the fortunes of a then ailing BT into a possible global player in the telecoms arena. His applause during the presentation of the latest figures is well deserved. He truly took a dead government department and pushed it into a new age business. So what happened to the Post Office? Nothing, of course, but that is not the point. Of course B

    Good Contracts Make Good Clients
This January marks the tenth anniversary of the Advertising & Marketing Review Website, and to mark the occasion this column is about how the Website was initially funded. It’s a cautionary tale about the necessity of having a good contract whenever doing contract work. While working at Apple In 1995, I ran into someone looking for a writer to adapt a lecture series on multimedia production to a book format

    3) TV promotes a negative philosophy

Most of the content of television is negative and sarcastic. In order to succeed in business, you need a positive attitude. You need to believe that you can achieve your goals, that you have personal power.

You may be surprised to hear that a study of college freshman showed a link between a lot of tv viewing and a negative view of businesspeople.
