Are You Wasting or Investing Your Time?
Our elders have taught us that the time is the most important thing in the life of a human being. The time spent wasted would never come back. One who doesn’t care for the time and don’t understand its value is tend to lose the battle of life. We should make the best use of the time available to us.Most of us waste our time in the plans for making money quickly or finding ways to lead a better life. Many of us in virtue of these worries forget about the time to live our life in which is the most important thing. You can buy products with money but not time.I must rather say the word “investment” as time is the biggest investment we make in any deed. It depends on us whether we make the right investment or the bad one. Most of the time we are aware of our investment that it is right or not but still makes it. One who realizes the importance of time would realize the importance of life.Nowadays it has become a trend to waste time in surfing internet or watching useless television channels without any purpose thus wasting time and money. Sometimes we even sacrifice the time of our sleep for these useless activities. Consuming excess of coffee or smoking cigarettes doesn’t mean that you can compromise for the time you didn’t slept. You must schedule your routine so that you don’t waste time in useless activities.Persons who wait for the time to come, such as waiting for holidays or counting office hours are the people who usually waste their time. One would never feel tired or sleepy if all his or her activities are organized and he or she doesn’t waste their valuable time. Choose the activities that are useful and motivates you to do work.As the Romans have said “carpe diem” that means to live the day and or

    Managing or Coping?
Why do we have managers? I asked this question on a recent seminar and got into an intense argument with one of the attendees who was a large employer! I like to mix it a little and what fun it was to ask an employer to justify the existence of his managers:Vernon: Why do you have managers? Employer: To manage Vernon: You mean, to cope Employer: I mean, to manage Vernon: If not "manage" as in "to cope", "manage" as in ...what? Employer: Our managers are not just coping, they are making judgements and making decisions based on those judgements Vernon: Do your staff, including managers, have procedures to follow? Employer: Yes, everything that could happen has a procedure Vernon: So, why do you need managers? Employer: Er, to deal with exceptions Vernon: Not covered by the procedures? Employer: Well, for instance, if there is a split decision to be made - say a late delivery is going out and one customer has to be disadvantaged over another, the manager will decide which customer to let down and may decide how to approach the customer Vernon: And would your company look into the failure - the late delivery - and put it right for next time? Would your company write into its procedures how to prioritise customers if such a failure occurred again? Employer: I know what you're getting at, but not everything can be set to a procedure.Who won the argument? The employer did of course, not that it was an argument in the true sense - I just enjoyed posing some awkward questions. I don't believe that we can ever completely do away with managers. What I do
Call it cardio, call it aerobics, call it whatever makes you feel more comfortable, but don’t avoid the inevitable: Every human being needs this variety of movement to be a part of their lives in order to function and be healthy.

We live in a weight conscious society, to be sure. The better a person looks externally, in clothes, naked, half naked, or anything in between, the more successful that person is deemed to be in the scheme of exercise and fitness. But looks can be deceiving.

Sure, cardio is the bodybuilder’s middle name-the key to the kingdom of ripped. But the truth is, cardiovascular exercise is probably one of the most misunderstood, under-utilized, over-utilized tools in the workout world. It is truly one of the greatest conundrums within the realm of fitness. And here’s another tip: Those who swear by it, may not even know why they swear by it.

Here are the pay-offs… and they are undisputed:

Cardiovascular exercise can burn calories at a rate between 8 and 30 calories per minute. That’s a lot of glazed donuts!

When engaging in cardiovascular exercise 5 times weekly, one can eat between 25% and 30% more calories and maintain or lose weight.

Cardiovascular exercise whips the heart muscle into great shape, increasing oxygen capacity within the bloodstream by up to 20% within just 3-4 months.

Cardiovascular exercise seems to melt fat off the body when combined with a good diet, and a regular program of resistance training.

These are all true, undisputed facts that no one can refute. They are the promises of diligent workouts on apparatus such as steppers, treadmills, stationary cycles and elliptical trainers. But is this the end of the story? Or is there more to cardio workouts than first meets the eye? You bet!

How to Determine Your Various Heart Rate Zones and Why You Should

There are four main training zones within the cardiovascular exercise category and each carries with it some very specific criteria and results. The reason one must familiarize himself with each zone is to avoid making crucial mistakes that could affect physical outcome. That’s because within each training zone subtle physiological effects take place to either enhance or jar your level of fitness. Knowing where you are at all times will garner the desired effect.

Draw Customers In With Your Main Benefit
A friend who owns a dry cleaning store once said to me, "I have five key benefits for customers. How should I show them in an ad?"My reply: "Figure out the single biggest benefit or the one that appeals to most of your customers, and lead with that. Then, once you have the reader's attention, you can mention the other four benefits."What’s true for a dry cleaner’s ad is true for marketing communications in general. Every marcom piece -- whether it’s a brochure, web site, ad, case study, or e-mail blast -- must be written around a central theme. This theme is your top benefit or selling point. It’s how you differentiate yourself from your competitors.Your other benefits need to be brought up, too. It would be folly for my friend to only highlight one major benefit and ignore the other four. But a marketer has to be careful how he presents the subordinate benefits, or the reader will lose track of the main one.Everything Including the Kitchen SinkMany corporations write brochures and ads that take an "everything-including-the-kitchen-sink" approach. That is, they cram their ads full of all kinds of benefits in the hope that one of them will resonate with a reader. The result is that almost none of them do.Imagine yourself as the recipient of such a brochure. If the first benefit presented doesn't appeal to you, you would have no reason to read on.Picking one major benefit is sometimes seen as a risk. What if we pick the wrong one? That concern can be dispelled by careful and dispassionate market research. What you learn from your research will help you select your central selling theme. It may even guide your business strategy.Learning From the Best

Buying or Selling Because of Real Estate Prices
If you are considering buying or selling, you are probably noticing price movements in your area. The question is how big a role these movements should play in your decision to buy or sell. The first rule of real estate is, of course, location, location and location. The second rule in the minds of many has to do with pricing issues. Specifically, is the real estate market trending upwards or downwards? Considering pricing trends is a smart move, but fixating on them is not.Why are real estate pricing trends so discussed? Well, it all has to do with getting the best possible deal. For buyers, the goal is to buy property when prices have bottomed out. The buyer can then reap the benefits of appreciation when the prices eventually start rising again. On the flip side, sellers are looking to sell when property prices are at the top of the market. Doing so, of course, maximizes the profit in the property being sold. While pricing trends are something to note, they are not nearly as critical as people think. First off, it is important that you focus on the correct trend. National price trends up or down are not all that important. The local price trend may differ. If prices are dropping 10 percent on average across the nation, it doesn’t really matter to you if prices are up 5 percent in your area for the same period. In short, think local. As a seller, trying to time the real estate market can be a catch-22. Yes, you want to sell at the top of the market to maximize your profit, but there is often a subtle problem with this approach. Once you sell, you are probably going to want to buy another home to live in immediately! If you sell at the top of the market, you are also going to buy at the top of the market. In short

Top 7 Tips for Consolidating Your Student Loans
Federal student loan consolidation is a re-financing program that allows you to combine all of your existing federal student loans into one new single loan. There are no application fees, credit checks, or cosigners required for a student loan consolidation. The Aerobic Zone

    Training at 70% to 80%

This zone will help develop your cardiovascular system. The body’s ability to transport oxygen to, and carbon dioxide away from, the working muscles can be developed and improved. As you become fitter and stronger from training in this zone your capacity for longer sessions increases. Though you’ll receive some benefits of fat burning, it’s mostly improved aerobic capacity that will be your reward by training in this zone.

    The Anaerobic Zone

    Training at 80% to 90%

Training in this zone will develop your lactic acid system. In this zone your own aerobic threshold is found. During training in this heart rate zone, the amount of fat being used as the main source of energy is reduced and, instead, stored glycogen is the main fuel. This glycogen is stored in the muscle. Burning glycogen for fuel creates lactic acid (the "feel the burn" chemical by-product). Once the body can no longer remove the lactic acid fast enough to continue contraction, the anaerobic threshold has been reached. It’s possible to train through this to increase your ability to deal with lactic acid for longer periods of time, but this takes some guidance.

    The Red Line Zone

    Training at 90% to 100%

This zone is only possible for short durations. It trains fast twitch muscle fibers and has its use for strength and endurance athletes. This should only be used during interval type training where sprints are indicated to increase strength, shape and density of muscle. It’s also only for the very, very fit.

    Resting Heart Rate

It’s very easy to determine resting heart rate (RHR). Find somewhere quiet, lie down and relax. Position a watch or clock where you can see the second hand. After 20 minutes remain where you are, and without sitting up or jarring your body, take your pulse rate (beats/min). This is your RHR. If you have a heart rate monitor, even better. After 20 minutes, check the rate. As you become more fit, your heart becomes more efficient at pumping blood around the body. As a result you will find your resting heart rate gets lower so you will need to check your RHR on a regular basis to adjust values in other areas.

    Calculation of Zone Values

There are a few methods by which to determine all of these values. Some say the age-based is the easiest to understand and doesn’t require exceptional math skills. However, it is also one of the least accurate because it supposes that everyone of the same age has the same Max HR, which is untrue. Conversely, the Max HR method is probably the most accurate because one finds zones bas
