Private Labeled Bottled Water and School Fund Raising - A Pure Water Source of Revenue
Like most organizations, schools in the United States are subject to constant budget stress. Important athletic and scholastic programs are subject to budget cuts as demographics change and taxpayers become increasingly budget aware. As a result, schools include fund raising resources in their planning for programs.Education should rank high on the list of tax payer funding. With exception of defense, it is hard to imagine a governmental effort that is more important to our country than good education. Education and schools focus on our future leaders and it is in the schools w

Web Radio – A Viable Marketing Strategy
With the right product or service, traditional radio is a great medium for marketing, but has a very short shelf life. Traditional radio can be costly and limits you to a thirty to sixty second spot.A great alternative is Internet radio, also known as Web radio. As the name implies, web radio is a broadcasting service transmitted via the Internet. Although some web radio stations correspond with a traditional radio station, many web stations are completely independent and only broadcast on the Internet. Internet radio is an extremely cost-effective way to market and promote y
In my travels visiting different businesses I am amazed at the various different ways that companies have of treating their staff. Each culture has its merits, but some are nearly impossible to live with. Which culture does your business utilize?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Work hard & don't have a good time: People in your business are there for only 1 thing; work. They are not there to socialise, romance or have a good time. They receive the legal requirements & no more in relation to holidays, pensions etc. Due to this rigid culture, staff do not interact & new ideas are not forthcoming. They refuse to think about work at home & most hate the senior people in their organisation.

Dress code: All units have their own dress code so that managers, administrators, sales, cleaners etc. are all easily identified. Managers must wear a suit and tie even if the office is melting on an exceptionally warm day.

Change - It Is Like Riding a Bicycle
Successful companies know change is a necessity. The challenge is continually encouraging, creating, and implementing worthwhile changes to make a difference for the business. Helping your team learn to accept and even embrace change is similar to learning to ride a bicycle.Start with ExcitementYoung children can hardly wait for their first Hot Wheels or tricycle. Their expectation is palpable. They want to ride, ride, and ride some more.A business should generate that same level of electricity regarding change. Talk about changes, paint the landscape with

An introduction to Business Intelligence - The Intelligent Organization
Just as military intelligence works to give armies and generals an upper hand on the battlefield, business intelligence (BI) seeks to give CEOs and CIOs a tactical advantage in the business arena. Business intelligence is fundamentally concerned with transforming your organization's operational data into an accessible store of high-value information (called a data warehouse) and distributing the right information in the right way to the right people at the right time.In both business and military operations, it's easy to see the correlation between the quality of intelligence a

    Laser Cutting Companies
Since Theodore Maiman invented the first functional laser or LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) in 1960, this device, which generates a strong, highly concentrated beam of single-wavelength light, has found several uses in different industries and in various fields including medicine, consumer electronics and information technology. Its most prominent industrial use is laser cutting. It is said that about $4.5 billion worth of laser cutting systems are being used around the world today. Most of them are being used in Japan. In the U.S., the tec

Resurrecting the Perfect Resume, Part One
Is your resume dead?  Don’t be so quick to say, “No way!”  Of the hundreds of resumes I’ve seen written by job seekers of all backgrounds and educational levels, easily 95% qualify to be labelled as dead-but-not-yet-buried.  A dead resume lacks a clear structure or chronology, does not present or quantify achievements, fails to offer a “big picture” of what you would bring to the employer and is impersonal rather than expressive.  Worse yet, a dead resume fails to win you the response you’re hoping for from the employer:  an invitation for a job interview.  To win mo

Be seen to be busy: They spend a lot of time looking busy, even when their workload is light, just in case their boss throws more tasks their way. You will often notice them moving fast in the corridor with a clipboard in hand, even if they are going to the toilet!

Make sure you spend your budget: If their department has a budget, they ensure that it's totally used up before the next allocation, so that it is not cut in the future. They will claim that the budget is restrictive and hampers their efforts.

Don't mingle: The sales staff will not mingle with the cleaners, whilst the mangers do not sit at the same table as the administrators!

Don't ask questions: Most people in the organisation do not question the way of working just in case it jeopordises their own position, even if they know a way of working that would be more beneficial to their business.

Don't help other departments: If other parts of the organisation fare badly, then your unit is more secure. If you have an idea that would improve another section of the business you must keep it to your self. Isn't that the only way of preserving your unit and ensuring the survival of your job?
