Franchisee Associations, what are they?
Franchisee associations are unions. In the modern business world if a group of employees want to form a union and the employer doesn’t want it then the employer has a right to close the company. I believe franchisors ought to be allowed to put in the contract that if any franchisees get together and form a franchise association to use as collective bargaining power against the franchisor, other than an association approved by the franchisor, then the franchisor should have the right to terminate the franchise contract with all franchisees in that region immediately and shut down further operations under that brand name in that area indefinitely. Finding The Right Career: Defining The Job That Best Suits You!
Some twenty or thirty years ago, finding the right career was restricted by lack of global internet tools, limited by more old-fashioned (if you will) values and opinions, and less important than “finding yourself.” I remember when my therapist, the savior of all saviors as far as I’m concerned, laughed with me over how I had gone about finding the right career: I had signed up to all the courses that I found interesting and many I hoped were in some way related, then tried to decide on a major/career. Chris used to work for a corporation--until one day he was told that he could leave... permanently. He wondered why he would be disposed of after giving seven years of his life to the company.
