    Goodbye Elevator Speech
Recently, I spoke to a group of small business owners about the power of knowing your competitive advantage when marketing yourself and your organization. It never seems to fail; someone raised their hand and asked about the elevator speech. I am here to tell you that if you are still utilizing the elevator speech premise, it is time for a change.Granted, you still only have 20-30 seconds to m

Google Adsense Earnings - Real or Mirage?
In a recent web content for one of our clients, I sang paeans to Google Adsense earnings' potential. In particular, I was referred to an article in USA Today [http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2006-03-28-googe-adsense_x.htm] that showcased instances of substantial Google Adsense earnings by "third-world" website owners for whom Google's doles are like god-sent (never mind Google's own skyrocketing revenue
    Who are they?

They are mostly Dutch, French, British, Belgians and Germans; they are all over 60 and some pushing 80. They are all from cold climates and just spend the summer at home, the rest of the time, they are here in Spain, and it is 'Baja' (low) season so camping is cheap.

For many, the 10?/day it costs to stay here is cheaper than staying at home with the heating on. Sometimes it is just the cost of living that makes it an attractive deal. In my circumstance this is definitely true.

If I buy two beers at the bar, it makes a saving equal to the camping fee. Enough said.

    802.11g - The Hardware

'My Campsite' has a room in what used to be the old reception with two PCs and a 802.11g wireless router, the signal stretches as far as the bar, so at most times of the day there are also lots of people with laptops dotted about. The 'power user' Dutch are fully equipped with Bluetooth headsets too. The laptops tend to be top of the range widescreen machines with the Dutch and more modest models with everyone else. The Dutch are not frightened of spending lots of euros if they are getting something for free!! The connection is a free with a 128 bit WEP key printed on the base of the router.

    Story As a Business Tool
When I was a magazine editor, I worked with a freelance writer who could turn deathly-dry subjects like business insurance and corporate taxation into compelling, easy reads. How? By using tools of the fiction writer's trade.Whether he interviewed a source in person or on the phone, he amassed an amazing array of details. Then he would craft a narrative--complete with scene-setting details, dramatic

    Public Relations for High Rises
Public relations for high-rises is often difficult because many people do not want to see giant buildings built in their city as a they call it an eyesore. However beautiful high-rise buildings are hardly an eyesore, as they actually add to the community and make it look very important. Of course, those people who have lived there a long time do not want to see more buildings in the area and they certain

    New Homes in Florida
New homes in Florida are those homes that have just recently been built either by a private contractor or by a large corporation as part of a wide-ranging set of new homes. These homes have never been lived in by another family or other type of resident. They are fully equipped with all the necessary add-ons you will need. Florida enjoys a booming real estate market as people flock to the state for recreat

Keep Work and Home Separate in Your Work at Home Business
Working from home seems appealing to so many people, but knowing how to keep work and home separate can be a bigger challenge for some individuals. Now, many people start a work at home business mostly because they want flexibility in their own schedules. However, some people get lost in the passion for their new job and forget that they have to have a life, too. Other people just don’t think that they

There are also a surprisingly large number of people who spend hours online, communicating with their friends, just to find out how to make their computer work properly.

    Problems they encounter

Many travellers set up there outlook accounts at home using the POP3 and SMTP server details provided by their ISP at home, they are often surprised when they find that they can receive but not send emails. Often they revert to web based email such as Hotmail and then get scared when they are bombarded with spam about Viagra.

I have also seen newbie silver surfers trying to email a contact they have scrawled on a scrap of paper when they don't have an email account of their own.

The more over cautious silver surfer sets up every antivirus, firewall and spyware cleaner they can get their hands on, to combat the evil out there and then wonder why they cannot connect to a public network.

    The future for campsite surfing

I can see the range of the wireless networks getting larger. Already I have heard of a campsite in Almeria, where each pitch has an available wireless network.

I am guessing that that if this becomes the case, then TV via the internet will become the norm rather than satellite sy
