There are many companies who are allowed to call citizens even though there are Telemarketing Laws against such calls. Have you ever wondered how they are able to do this? Well it is simple you see if a company has done business with you in the last 6 months or is currently doing business with you, then they are allowed to call you even at dinner time.In fact they can also give your phone number to other companies who are vendor partners who may call you. Having computer trouble? Here are some simple things you can try before bringing your computer to the overpriced Geeks.

Most computer problems that are software related (and some hardware) can be fixed easily if you know how. These problems assume that at some point, your system was running fine. When people ask me to fix their computer I always start with these steps:

Is it plugged in? - I know, but I've had cases where the power cord was not plugged into the power supply but was plugged into the wall. Also check to make the sure power supply is on (there is a switch on the back of it).

Does the computer have a virus/spyware? - There are a multitude of free scanners. I would suggest Adaware for spyware and Norton for virus scanning. And while you're there, get Zonealarm for a firewall.

Is the computer running slow? - This could be caused by fragmentation of files, corrupted registry entries, or a full hard drive. I would suggest a program like PerfectDisk to clean your system.

Do you get a blue screen of death (BSOD) or other message saying that critical files are missing? - Insert your Windows cd and reboot the computer. Tell it to boot from cd and when you are given the option, hit ‘R' to use recovery console. When you are able, type ‘chkdsk /r', this will repair the installation.

    Get Speaking
On a recent Sunday evening, I watched a friend ‘graduate’ from a beginner’s class for stand-up comedians.Needless to say, I saw many levels of competence and talent as the nine students gave their 10 minute ‘commencement speeches’ before an audience of perhaps 250, mostly friends and family. Some, obviously, would never make it to prime time. Others have a good chance, given determination and patience. But, what’s striking is that they all got up on the st

Home Equity Loans - Use The Equity Wisely
A Home equity loan is when the home owner borrows the equity of their home. The equity of a home may be borrowed at any stage that the owner requires money. As soon as a loan is fully paid off the equity will be replenished again and the home owner may apply for another loans. The loan is secured against the home so most home owners will qualify to take a loan. This loan has a high interest rate, and loan charges have to be paid as well, so bear this in mind

    Restaurant Wine Serving Tips
If your restaurant will be serving wine, you must take care to serve it properly. Wine served properly can enhance and optimize the taste and bouquet, while serving it improperly will cause your wine to taste differently, even badly.TemperatureMost wines have a proper serving temperature for optimal taste. When you press the power button, does it beep and do nothing else? - This is generally caused by RAM problems. Check to make sure they are not dirty, if they are covered in dust, their connections could be blocked. Take out the RAM, blow on the motherboard slots and use an eraser to gently clean the contacts of the RAM (try to remove dust from the whole computer). If this does not work, it could be because your RAM is corrupted. If you have more than one stick of RAM, try installing only one at a time to single out the corrupted stick(s). If none of the sticks work, try re-seating things. Leave one stick of RAM in, but unplug the video card and clean it out and put it back in, unplug the motherboard power connection and clean it out, check all parts you feel confortable messing with except the processor. If this does not fix the problem, try using one stick of RAM at a time to single out a corrupted stick. If none of this works, buy new RAM.

Does your computer randomly shut down or get colored lines and weird shapes on the screen? - This is caused by overheating. The processor overheating could eventually cause the system to immediately turn off. This is a failsafe system built into the processor so that it won't melt itself. Colored lines, shapes or messed up graphics would be caused by your video card overheating, this can also sometimes cause a system crash/hang. To fix this, make sure your system is getting ample air flow. A fan in the front (sucking in) and a fan in t
