I respect and congratulate any person who wants to invest in these types of projects, not only as silent or active partner, but as the actual talent; the actual musician or actor/actress. However, I do NOT want to mislead. Entrepreneurs that havEach year businesses around the US have to decide whether or not to send Christmas cards to their clients. Christmas cards are generally accepted as a great way to stay in contact with clients. Christmas cards are often the one contact a client may receive from the business in that year. But the issue comes up about whether a true Christmas card should be sent or a generic Season’s Greetings holiday card. Many businesses do not want to offend their clients. Unfortunately, some will be offended if a religious card is sent and some will be offended if a generic card is sent. However, because we are new entrepreneurs, we need to create NEW investments!Do you feel like one in a million at work – and not in a good way? When you run into your boss in the hallway, do you get the impression she isn’t sure who you are? Are the juicy projects always going to someone else?If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you need to raise your work profile. Here are some tips to get you started.1. Listen more than you talk. If you offer an opinion, suggestion, comment or question at every opportunity, soon people will run away when they see you coming. Remember when you were in college and there was always one smart-aleck who, when the class was asked, “Are there any more questions?” would shoot his hand in the air and hold the class up? When one buys a piece of real estate, one spends his/her time evaluating the property, discussing and negotiating terms, and preparing and signing contracts. After all of that time is invested, money now has to be invested to conclude the deal. These two elements are very common in the entrepreneurial world. Time and money; time and money; time and money! This is all entrepreneurs hear! “You have to invest a lot of time and money to make this business work!” I do not entirely agree with that common statement, but there is some truth to it. The point is, we as new entrepreneurs need to (at the risk of promoting a clich?) THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. You may be asking, “WHATS THE POINT? GET TO THE POINT!!” The point, my fellow business community members, is that if you/me/us/we ONLY invest time and money into a project, we are extremely limited in our choice of investment. The entire premise of being an entrepreneur is that we do not fall in line; we do not conform to the conventional; and we break boundaries and borders in order to pioneer an idea, product, or state of mind! Yet, getting the promotion seems to be taking a long time and you’re getting impatient. Are you wondering how you could make it happen faster? Are you thinking about what else you could do to make yourself the most likely choice for promotion?Of course, there are factors such as budgetary constraints, lost contracts, etc. that could influence the timing of your promotion. You have little control over these factors. However, there are things you can do that would set you apart and catapult your name to the top of the promotion list. Wouldn’t you want to know how to improve your odds of landing your promoti You may be asking, “WHATS THE POINT?
