    Press Releases Are Not Advertisements
Press releases are a great way to get free publicity. One of the main reasons is because readers don't regard a press release as an advertisement for your company. There is usually a favorable impact when a person reads a press release because an advertisement is just skimmed over most of the time. There are some 'rules' for press releases that you are going to want to follow if you want your press releases to get publish more often than not.The first guideline is to use letterhead. Make it look professional. If an official letterhead is not available, use your company logo and as much information as you can fit on the page. You want to be able to be contacted if the media has questions or need clarification on your press release. The next thing you want to make sure you put in your release are the words "Press Release" so the reader knows what they are looking at. If you want it to go out ASAP, put the words "For Immediate Release" or for future date, "To Be Released On" and the date so they know not to release it before the event has taken place. You will want to come up with a headline and sub heading that are eye catching. If you can't get the editors attention, your chances of getting published go down considerably. You want the editor to know that the story will be interesting to their readers as well.Keeping the body of the press release double spaced and a maximum of three pages. If you can get your point across in less than three pages, by all means, do it! You don't want to come across as a rambler. When you reach the conclusion of your release, add ### under the

    The Role of Trademarks
Once you start conducting business, you are going to start running into the topic of intellectual property and trademarks. Understanding the role of a trademark will help you grasp why they are important.A trademark is a unique form of intellectual property. Most intellectual property is created to protect the person or business creating it. A patent, for example, is designed to protect the inventor from having other parties use it without consent. Copyright works much the same way. A person who writes a hit song should receive compensation from it and copyright is designed to protect the person in this regard.A trademark is unique because it performs two purposes. The first is similar to patents and copyrights. A trademark is a way for a person or business to protect a logo, etc., from the misuse by others. In truth, this is pretty much the underlying idea of most intellectual property. The only time a protected intellectual property right can be legally infringed upon is if the infringer pays a royalty or licensing fee for the right to use it.Trademarks, however, also serve a secondary purpose. This purpose has its basis in something called public policy. Throughout the law, you will find guidelines that are set forth as a matter of public policy. These guidelines essentially are designed to help the general pool of consumers in some way. With trademarks, there is a strong public policy supporting their establishment. The policy has to do with consumer confusion and the quality of products or services. When a consumer sees a trademark, they associate a company and level of quality with that mark. For i
Imagine your book at the top of the Best Sellers List of the New York Times. Most authors do. The question is, "How do I get it there and sell millions of copies?"

When planing your book, there is one critical thing that most authors forget - marketing. In the case of book reviewers this means pre-marketing.

Most reviewers require a copy of your book at least three months before publication. This is because most book reviewers need time to read it and review it plus publish all the reviews on books that they have reviewed for those who came before you. Also many publications come out on a weekly or monthly basis instead of daily. This means that book reviewers have a huge backlog.

So the best way to get a book reviewers to review your book, is to get them a quality copy of your manuscript or a galley, as soon as possible.

What if your book has already been published?

Is it too late to get a book reviewer to review your book? In some cases yes and in some no. There is an easy way to get your book reviewed without calling it a review.

    Send out a press release.

Create a press release about your book and submit it to your local newspapers, magazines and radio stations. Make it interesting. Don't just say Mary Joe Piper has just published her newest book Babes on Parade. Think about your story and what it can teach people. Does it have a theme about love or friendship or settling disputes?

Use the issue in your press release. Teach people how to solve their problems and then have the person interviewing you mention your credits, as a published author. At that point your book will be mentioned, you will have done them a service, and you will have saved thousands of dollars on marketing and query letters to editors.

Here are just a few sites that you can go to to submit your pre - publication book:

    Moving With Cats and Dogs
Moving can be especially difficult on one of your most important, but often overlooked, family members: your pet. As a Realtor, I often hear from clients that their pets begin acting up weeks before the actual move. The resulting behavior can cause destruction in the home you are selling as well as concern for the pet’s reaction in their new location. If Fido or Kitty is a senior pet, a new home can be particularly traumatic. How do you relieve your pet’s anxiety? Preparation is the key. Before the MoveVisit the Veterinarian for a complete examination. Verify and document that all vaccinations are up-to-date. Inquire about medications for stress and the options of administering before or during the move depending on your pet’s particular needs. Keep copies of your pet’s medical records, including a current photo, in an accessible place.Check homeowners association and local authorities for pet restrictions before purchasing your home. Many cities and neighborhoods have restrictions on the type, size and number of pets you are allowed to keep in a home. Requesting this information prior to making an offer can save the heartache of your beloved pet being restricted from your new home.Keep to a regular routine. If your move will require the use of a carrier, find one of good quality that is sturdy, comfortable and insulated. It needs to be large enough to accommodate your pet and allow movement. Have it out in your house and use it routinely, so that your pet is familiar with his temporary home and comfortable in it.Moving long distance and traveling by car? Many hotels are pet friendly bu

    Free Web Hosting Guide
There are many great free web-hosting solutions out there, but it can be difficult to decide which one is right for you. You may want the ability to have sub domains or you might want uptime guarantees, so it is important to consider all of your free options before you settle on just one. It’s also important to remember that free web hosting services are not for everyone; sometimes you need to spend money to make money. However, free web hosting solutions are worth checking out before you decide to spend money on web hosting at all!One of the most popular free web hosting options right now is AeroHostale, which is offered to those that need web space for personal or business use. You will be given 200 megabytes of space and you are free to upload, you’ll be given FTP, browser, CGI, PHP, FrontPage Extensions, Perl, and a domain or sub domain. This is a great choice and works for a good deal of people that don’t need a lot of bandwidth or storage space.Another popular free web hosting solution is XetaSpace, though this is for those that do not need a lot of space. XetaSpace hosts personal and business websites and offers 15-50 megabytes. There are no forced ads, and you will be given upload, browser, PHP, and SSI functions. If you don’t mind banners, 275mb is a great free web host. 275mb hosts personal and business websites and offers, of course, 275mb. You’ll have a banner on the top and you’ll be given upload, FTP, browser, CGI, PHP, Perl, and a domain or sub domain with your account. You may also want to consider the free web host known as Gig4Free, which hosts personal and business websites fre

Internet Business Opportunity: Common Mistakes To Avoid
There is nothing wrong about getting extremely excited with an Internet business opportunity you come across. In fact excitement is good because what will usually follow is lots of enthusiasm and enthusiasm critical to the success of any Internet business opportunity. However you should be very careful in your enthusiasm that you do not make any of the common mistakes many people make with their Internet business opportunity. Here are some of the most common mistakes people make with their Internet business opportunity.a) Joining an Internet business opportunity without knowing how you are going to promote it. Having a marketing plan or an idea of what you are going to do to generate traffic will always make a huge difference. One of the first things you should do when considering joining any Internet business opportunity is extensive popular keyword research.b) Abandoning your first Internet business opportunity just because you have come across a better one. Probably one that pays better, or easier to market and sell or whatever. Take your time to make a decision about joining a certain Internet business opportunity and then when you have decided, stick to it. Remember that even if you are not investing any cash in your Internet business opportunity, you are certainly investing time, which is in fact priceless.c) Joining an Internet business opportunity that has no track record of successful affiliates. I made this mistake once and it was because I came across this unique service that was just right for one of my sites, I hurriedly signed up for the Internet business opportunity, only to realize
