Managing Reality - Learning to Love Our Mistakes
Too often I see and hear the impact of leaders not managing what lies in front of them. Rather, they manage what they would like to see or imagine is there. The consequence is usually underperformance. Characteristics accompanying it include crisis management, poor and late decision making. When leaders manage what they would like to see, they filter and interpret data to support conclusions already made in their own mind. The Best Silver Miner in the World
Before giving our view on the best silver miner in the world a little background information is necessary. First, the reader should ask why invest in the mining industry at all? The answer to us is covered in our third rule of silver investing below. This third rule of Silver Investing can be found in the global-investor book of Investing Rules. This rule is one that many silver investors know quite well and the joys of watching
I was watching CNBC yesterday morning waiting for the Trade report to be released. At exactly 8:30am, Becky Quick went to Rick Santelli at the Chicago Board of Trade for the report. “For December the trade deficit increased $61.2 billion exceeding expectations of $59.7 billion. November was revised down from $58.2 billion to $58.1 billion. Back to you Becky,” reported Rick. I am sure at direction of the producers - Becky quickly moved on to the next story.

That was it. No reaction from the trading pits. No economist droning on and on. Why not show the traders jumping up and down? Why no droning? Simple – the story wasn’t U.S. Stock Market positive. Even worse it was U.S. Dollar bearish. They should have had a webcam on me to capture my big smile. I was smiling, because I knew this report would create a positive back drop for gold to follow-through on last week’s move through $670/oz.

What Do You Mean By A Secured Credit Card?
Secured credit cards are another very popular breed of credit cards. Secured credit cards, as their name suggests, are secured. Well, they are secured for the credit card supplier, really. Secured credit cards require you to open an account with the credit card supplier and maintain some cash balance in that account. This cash balance acts as a security for the supplier of secured credit card. Your credit limit is dependent on the amount you

When to Sell Your Structured Settlement
A structured settlement often follows a life changing incident, whether it be positive or negative. Due to these circumstances, you may be faced with the need for a large lump sum payment rather than small monthly payments over a number of years. So, where do you turn? To a company that can buy your structured settlement from you and turn it into an immediate payment that you may use on whatever you see fit. Each individual has differe

    New England and Economic Recovery
New England area is experiencing some good economic rebounding finally. Those markets, which involve larger consumer items are finding life a little tough, smaller manufacturers are waiting for orders and everyone is waiting on cash flow in the New England rural areas and cities under 150,000 which is nearly every city in NH, VT and ME and that 85% of the cities (calling a city that which is over 10K pop.) in CT, RI and MA. Are You A Wimp? Why Being Bold Pays Off In Self Storage Marketing
Are you making wimpy offers? In my last article, I discussed offers and their importance in life and self storage marketing. As a self-storage operator, you are making the offer to relieve locals of their cluttered home or yard. You offer a safe place to store valuable belongings. You offer them the option of parking their shiny new car in the garage, and so on.There are really 2 types of offers that are relevant to self stor

One day the masses will wake up and realize that - although Gold thrives in those environments supply and demand trumps all. Take a gander at a recent quote from Don Coxe, Chairman and Chief Strategist of Harris Investment Management,

“And the reason comes down to simply this: the kind of observations we had in traveling through rural India and seeing these peasants and the women carried their wealth on their arms, their dowry. And as more and more of them become wealthy, India, which is already the largest gold consumer, and China which is moving into number two, what you’re going to have is putting their wealth in a way they can understand.” Just like any other market – supply and demand rules the day. As I had anticipated, Gold and Gold Mining Stocks had a great day as the Phi
